Understanding Your Bill

1.    Account Number - The account number is associated with a particular house or meter.  Your account number can change if you move, or if we have to re-number.

2.    Customer Number - Your customer number is associated with a particular customer.  Your customer number will always be the same no matter where you live.  Your history stays with your customer number.

3.    Bill Date - This is the day your bill is sent.

4.    Service From - This is the date your meter was read for the last billing.

5.    Service To - This is the date your meter was read for the current billing.

6.    Days - This is the number of days in the current billing cycle.

7.    Date Read - This is the date your meter was read.

8.    Previous - This is the previous reading for your meter.

9.    Current - This is the current reading for your meter.

10.    Consumption - This is the amount used on your meter.  Keep in mind, that the meters are read in hundreds.  Example: If your consumption is 25, you used 2,500 gallons of water or 2,500 cubic feet of gas.

11.    The first line will show any balance forward or credit on your account.

12.    The following lines will show any current charges billed to your account.

13.    This is the net amount due on your bill if paid on or before the due date.

14.    This is the amount of the penalty that will be added the day after the due date.

15.    This is the date your payment is due.

16.    This is the amount due after the due date.

17.    Any comments will be shown here.

18.    This area will contain your name and mailing address.
